Manage videos and folders

Find, rename, sort and organize videos in your Screenity library, and move several videos into folders at once.

Your library lists videos created or saved to your Screenity account. Use the sidebar to switch between All videos, Public, Private and Instant, where available. Open an editable video to continue working. Instant videos open in the viewer.

Rename or move a video

  1. Open the video's menu in the dashboard.
  2. Select Rename to change its title, or Move to folder to choose a folder.
  3. To create a folder while moving, select New folder and enter a name.

When creating a folder, you can choose an emoji or icon for it. To change an existing folder's icon, open the folder's menu and choose Change icon. Icons can have a custom color. From the folder menu, you can also rename or delete the folder, or choose Make default folder so new videos go there. You can also set the default in recording and sharing preferences.

Filter, sort and change the view

Use the sidebar to switch between All videos, Public, Private and Instant, when available. At the top right, use Sort to order videos by last edited, date created, name, length or views, then choose the direction. Select the view button to switch between a grid and a list. In list view, select the Name, Length, Views or Edited column heading to sort by that column.

Select and organize several videos

On desktop, select a video's checkbox to start a selection. You can also Command-click on Mac or Control-click on Windows, or Shift-click to select a range. When videos are selected, the action bar lets you move them to a folder or delete them. In Trash, it offers Restore and permanent deletion instead.

Choose Select all in the action bar to select videos in the current folder, filter and search results, including results that have not loaded on screen yet. You can select up to 1,000 videos at a time. Changing the folder, filter, sort order or search clears the selection.

You can also drag selected videos into a folder. If you drag a video that is part of the selection, all selected videos move. Review the selection before deleting or moving a large group.
