Understand extension permissions
Learn why Screenity needs permission to show its controls, capture your screen, and use the camera or microphone you select.
Screenity asks for access needed to show recording controls, capture your chosen screen and use devices you enable.
Install permissions
Website access allows the popup and recording tools to appear on pages. Download access supports saving recordings to your device. Google sign-in access is used when you save to Google Drive.
Record permissions
The first time you start a recording, Chrome asks you to approve a few more permissions that Screenity needs to capture the screen and run the recording in the background. It doesn't ask again once you approve them.
Your browser asks you to choose what to share for screen capture. Camera and microphone access are needed when you want to record those devices. Your operating system may also require screen recording permission.
If you denied device access, see Allow camera and microphone access.
