Extension troubleshooting

Fix common Screenity extension problems, from a missing toolbar and silent audio to macOS permissions and recovering a lost recording.

Find the extension icon

If Screenity is installed but you can't see its icon in Chrome, check that the extension is enabled and pinned to your toolbar.

If the Screenity recording toolbar disappears or never shows up, follow these steps to find it or bring it back.

If Screenity can't start screen capture on your Mac, check the macOS screen recording and Chrome permissions it needs.

If your camera or microphone isn’t available in the Screenity popup, check its device and browser permissions.

Fix a Screenity recording that has no sound by checking your microphone, push to talk, and tab or system audio settings.

Try to restore a recent extension recording from data on your device if its player tab has closed or you can’t find it. Recovery isn’t guaranteed.
