A screen recorder that's free, private, and friendly

Screenity is a free screen and camera recorder extension for Chrome. It’s a great tool for making tutorials, presentations, demos, sharing feedback, and more. It also comes with drawing tools to annotate your screen while recording, and many other features to help you get your point across through video.

Screenity is open source and completely free. We don’t collect, share, or sell any of your data. There are no limits on your recordings and no paywalls for downloads. For users who want cloud storage, advanced editing tools, or sharing with a link, there’s an optional Pro version, but the core extension will always remain free.

Yes! The Screenity extension includes basic editing tools like trim, crop, and audio tweaks. For more advanced features, like multi-scene editing, zooms, templates, and captions, you can try Screenity Pro.

Nope! The Screenity extension is completely free and works without any sign-in or account. If you want to try Screenity Pro, you'll need to create an account to save your videos to the cloud.

Screenity is currently available for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers on desktop. Click here to register interest for a Firefox version of Screenity - we'll let you know when it's ready.

With the free extension, Screenity saves your recordings locally. You can use the Google Drive integration to generate a link to share. If you want, you can try Screenity Pro, which includes cloud storage and sharing out of the box.
