An embed puts the Screenity video player on another page. You can embed a video shared with **Anyone with the link** or **Anyone with the password**. A private video cannot be embedded. For a password-protected video, viewers must enter the password in the embedded player.

Choose **Embed only** to let viewers play the video in an embedded player while keeping its regular share page unavailable to visitors. Anyone with the embed or playback link can still share it.

1. Open **Share** and select **Embed**, or **Get embed code** if you chose **Embed only**.
2. Choose the playback and appearance options you want, such as autoplay, looping, controls, poster and preview. Choose **Responsive** width to fill the available space or **Fixed** to limit the width.
3. Check the preview, then select **Copy code**. Paste the code into an HTML or embed block on your website and publish the page. **Show code** lets you inspect it first, and **Copy link** copies the player link instead of the embed code.
4. Open the published page in a separate browser session and test playback and any buttons.

An edited video needs to be exported before it can play in an embed. Instant recordings can play without an export. If Screenity is preparing the video, you can paste the code while you wait. If you later make the video private, the public embed will no longer be accessible. Browser autoplay rules and the host site's embed support can affect playback.

To show a call-to-action button in the player, enable it in [viewer settings](https://screenity.io/help/web-sharing/viewer-settings) and check the embed's own call-to-action option.
