Use the teleprompter in the recording studio to read a script while you record.

1. Open the recording studio and select **Teleprompter**.
2. Write or paste your script. Select outside the text box when you're ready to read.
3. Open **More script options** to adjust **Text size** and **Speed**, or turn on **Scroll when recording starts**.
4. Start recording. Use **Start scrolling** and **Pause scrolling** to control the script while recording. Use **Scroll back to the top** to rewind it.

You can resize or hide the script area. When you record a tab or window, the script can open in a floating window that stays out of the recording. If you share your entire screen, Screenity doesn't open the floating window, because it would show up in the video. A note in the studio says so, and you can still read the script in the studio. Your script is saved either way. Your camera preview may also close. See [recording troubleshooting](https://screenity.io/help/web-troubleshooting/recording-problems#camera-preview-disappears).
