## Delete or restore

Open a video's menu and follow the available delete action. If **Move to Trash** is available, the video can be restored from **Trash** while it remains there. Some accounts or configurations show **Delete** instead.

When Trash is available, videos can be restored for 30 days. After that, they are no longer available to restore and are permanently deleted by the cleanup process. A video in Trash cannot be watched or edited, and its share link stops working. Open **Trash**, select the video and choose **Restore** to bring it back. Its comments and previous sharing setting are restored. Access to a share link can also depend on your subscription and other sharing settings.

**Warning:**
Permanently deleting a video also deletes its recordings, comments and share link, and cannot be undone. Read the confirmation before proceeding.

An empty project with no scenes or registered media is deleted directly, even when Trash is available.

To add videos to your library instead, see [Import and upload videos](https://screenity.io/help/web-library/import-videos).
