> Use Preview in the web editor to see your video and viewer page as an owner would, before you send a share link.

Preview lets you review an editable video in an owner view of the viewer page before sharing it.

_Video: Select Preview in the editor, then look over the description, chapters, transcript and comments in the owner view of the viewer page, and return to the editor._

1. Open the video in the editor and select **Preview** in the top bar. Add a scene first if the button is unavailable. Exit recording mode before opening Preview.
2. Play the video and review its timing, audio and captions. Check the title, description and available viewer elements too.
3. Select **Customize viewer** to adjust available [share-page settings](https://screenity.io/help/web-sharing/viewer-settings), then review the result.
4. Select **Return to editor** to make more changes. You can also press `P` to switch between editing and Preview, or `Esc` to return to editing when a menu or dialog is not open.
5. Check the save indicator before leaving. When you're ready, [share the video](https://screenity.io/help/web-sharing/share-a-video) and test the link in a separate browser session. Preview uses an owner view, so it cannot confirm what a recipient can access.

## Preview speed

While editing, the playback bar's **Preview speed** changes how fast you watch in the editor. It does not change the project or export. The player in Preview has its own speed control. To change the video itself, see [Change scene speed](https://screenity.io/help/web-editor/change-scene-speed). Export and share-page speeds are separate settings.

For smoother playback while editing, you can turn on **Low-res preview** in the canvas zoom menu. It changes the editor preview, not the exported video.
